Description
Coming in near the very top of the company's production line, Yamaha's hand-crafted FG9 M represents their take on a truly classic design - the spruce and mahogany dreadnaught. This guitar, which has arrived in our store used but with only a few weeks of playing time, has big shoes to fill as the new apex of the Japanese manufacturer's storied FG line, but proves itself equal to the task with a warm and rich tone with a more rounded low end than mahogany is generally known to produce. The Adirondack spruce top provides clarity and volume when driven hard with a heavy right hand, but retains subtlety when the player eases up, making this an excellent option for a wide variety of playing styles. Minimal appointments like rope patterns at the rosette and purfling, and kumiki-style fingerboard inlays give it a distinctive character and a visual appeal that blends modern with traditional.
This guitar arrived in our store in mint condition, with no playing wear that separates it from a brand new instrument. The set up is comfortable and playable in all positions. Included in the price is the original hard-shell case.
