Description

Where affordable openbacks are concerned, it's hard to do better than Ome Banjo Company's Ute line, a series of parts banjos aimed at the beginning to intermediate player who wants the thumpy, old-timey sound of an Ome at an affordable price. But while Utes have been designated as Ome's most basic line, a few upgrades - like the ones you see on this 12" Special Edition - turn a decent parts banjo into a truly sweet machine for the clawhammer-inclined. The Special Edition boasts a softer rosewood fretboard, an ebony headstock overlay and heel cap that make it look a little more like the company's Ode line, 24 brackets on the pot, and a beautiful exotic wood armrest. These upgrades ensure that the Ute doesn't simply end up being a beginner's instrument, but will provide years of enjoyment for the capable clawhammer banjo player. Comes with a padded Ome gig bag.
