Description

While Taylor have always made guitars geared towards gigging musicians and singer-songwriters, their new Gold Label 512e seems especially aimed at serious fingerpickers in a way prior offerings just couldn't, with a gutsy, warm, and loud sound that leaps right off the fretboard. Immediately calling to mind classic mid-sized Gibson flat-tops far more than the California-based manufacturer's more modern builds, the 512e features a solid spruce top in combination with a mahogany neck, back, and sides for lots of bite and midrange in every chord you pull out of it. As with all Gold Label models, it features fanned V-class bracing under the hood, as well as the company's brand new action-control neck system, for easy adjustments to the setup at a moment's notice. The 512e comes stock with a Baggs Element VTC pickup, for a rich, traditional voice when amplified. Included in the price is a Gold Label hard-shell case, finished in an eye-catching British Cocoa tolex exterior.
