Description

Taylor's new 414ce Studio is an absolute masterclass in bang-for-your-buck - it feels impossible to find an American-made, all solid spruce and rosewood acoustic/electric for anywhere near the price point that this still-dazzling six-string comes in at. Modeled after the highly popular standard edition of the 414ce, the Studio eschews flashy sunbursts, high-end inlays, and Fort Knox-style hard-shell cases in favor of more minimal aesthetics and extras, and is aimed towards the player who wants a big sound without a big price tag. But while it may not have the top-level appointments of its rich older brother, the 414ce Studio has the R&D where it counts, including a torrefied top for a played-in sound right off the shelf, as well as Taylor's patented V-class bracing and their world-famous Expression 2 active pickup system. This is a pretty tremendous offering for the gigging professional who wants a guitar that's not just reliable, but exceptional, while still fitting within their budget. Included in the price is a Taylor soft-shell case.
