Santa Cruz Guitar Company makes some of the very finest steel strings in the world, but the company's legendary craftsmanship and quality-of-build isn't just limited to their wildly popular dreadnaught and OM models - this stunning 2022 PJ proves that they can make a true parlor better than just about any other luthiery we can think of. A custom build sheet pairs a highly figured walnut back and sides with an incredible Tunnel 13 redwood top for a big, warm, and remarkably open sound that loses none of its potency and low end as you move up the neck. While those premium tonewoods may have a lot to do with the PJ's perfectly boxy, punchy tone that fingerstyle players go head over heels for, a lot of what makes this instrument sound so good is intangible and simply comes down to the level of craftsmanship and Santa Cruz's unremitting attention to detail. An abalone rosette and mother-of-pearl fretboard inlays complete the package visually and make this guitar look just as good as it sounds.

This instrument arrived in our store in mint condition with next to no evidence of significant playing wear. The set up is still within factory spec and the neck is straight and very comfortable in all positions. There is no evidence of repair or cosmetic damage. Included in the price is the original hard-shell case.
