This beautiful Rickard 12" open back banjo is out of this world! We are all over the moon about this stellar banjo. Seriously, we're seeing stars!  The Whyte Laydie tone-ring system in conjunction with the 12" half-spun pot give this banjo a punch and clarity that sounds perfect of frailing, old-time, and just about anything else you would ever want to play with this. There is a very subtle beveled edge 'scoop' that gives you enough clearance for clawhammer playing. The neck profile comes to a very comfortable V shape. There is some play-wear on the head and a few very small dings here and there typical to a 13-year old banjo, otherwise it is set up wonderfully and ready to pick. This comes with the original Superior hard shell case.
