Description

The Ortega R180 is a new and welcome addition to our shop, filling a niche for the beginning to intermediate classical player looking for a new guitar at an affordable price point without sacrificing quality. The build and design is fairly traditionalist, with by-the-book specs and fairly minimal visual appointments, but the beautiful layered cuts of bubinga on the back and sides ensure that the R180 is still far from a plain instrument. The top is constructed from book-matched cuts of North American cedar, providing the warmth and depth of tone that classical players lean towards, and the rosewood fingerboard and bridge add a dimensionality to the sound that can't be produced with ebony. A thin matte finish keeps the guitar light, as well as the cost low. An ideal starting point for the player who's begun to take their classical playing seriously. Comes with an Ortega deluxe gig bag.
