Ode banjos are a relatively new line built by Ome Banjos' founder, Chuck Ogsbury, and designed as an intermediate open-back that prices in between Chuck's Ute line and the name-brand Omes that have made them a first-class name in banjo luthiery. As compared to the Utes, Odes feature upgraded cosmetics, a mahogany armrest, and more brackets than your standard Ute, but what makes this Limited Edition special is the Brazilian rosewood fretboard and headstock overlay (yes, you read that right). Like Utes, the Odes come with aged brass brackets, a Renaissance head, and a solid mahogany neck for the warm and thumpy sound that clawhammer players have come to love. Included in the price is an Ome gig bag.
This single-owner instrument was new last year and has seen very little playing time. There are no set-up issues that would distinguish it from a new banjo, so we consider it to be in excellent condition. Included in the price is the original Ome gig bag.
