From the mind and hands of Stefan Grossman, one of the great fingerpickers of our time, and the master builders of Martin Guitars comes the HJ-38 Stefan Grossman Custom Edition. This guitar has exceptional sound: deep resonant bass, strong, full mids, and bright balanced highs. The fine tonewoods produce the rich, focused tone that a serious fingerpicker requires. This custom edition is also a real looker: a beautiful mix of Sitka Spruce and wonderfully marbled Madagascar rosewood. Cosmetic elements of Martin’s style 45 guitars, including a gorgeous abalone rosette, blend with other classic features like herringbone binding on the top and a fully bound headstock.

There are a couple of scratches some buckle rash on the back and there are light scratches on and below the pickguard. These front blemishes are mild enough that a casual observer might not notice them at all. The action is just about perfect for most players with plenty of saddle left for years of blissful play.
