Description
Martin's big-bodied Grand Performance guitars have never been more attainable with the introduction of the GPC-X2E - and they've never looked better than this year's edition, which features a stunning cocobolo veneer over a high-pressure laminate back and sides. Taking after other popular large-bodied six-strings with cutaways, the Grand Performance shape has a wide lower bout and a pinched waist for a dreadnaught-esque sound with the feel and playability of a triple-aught. The GPC-X2E's naturally full-bodied tone is bolstered by way of a solid spruce top, which adds clarity, projection, and bright trebles to an already powerful instrument. Best of all, it comes with Martin's E1 active undersaddle pickup pre-installed, for an amplified tone that matches the richness of the guitar's acoustic voice. Included in the price is a Martin soft-shell case.
