Description
Martin's updated 16 Series offers perhaps the greatest amount of guitar for your dollars you'll find anywhere in the company's current lineup - these instruments are American-built, all solid wood, and come with a pickup installed, all while pricing at about two-thirds of their Standard Series equivalents. The D-16E Rosewood is one of our favorite new additions to our sales floor, and will make for an absolute steal of a deal for the player who leaves our showroom with it in hand. As the name suggests, this D-16E features a solid Indian rosewood back and sides, which is paired with a spruce top for the classic sound that Martin have made their signature for nearly 200 years. Those cuts of wood are applied to a unique, shallow-bodied dreadnaught shape, giving the instrument the same amount of headroom as a Standard Series dreadnaught, but with exceptional comfort and playability unique to this line. Finally, Martin install their proprietary E1 active undersaddle pickup system for an excellent sound when plugged in, making this thing gig-ready from the get-go. Included in the price is a soft-shell case.
