Description
While Martin are best known for classic, time-honored designs like the D-28 or 000-18, the CEO-7 stands out to all of us as one of the best-kept secrets in the Nazareth manufacturer's production line. Modeled on a shape uncharacteristic for Martin that calls to mind a certain other storied American guitar company, the CEO-7 combines an Adirondack spruce top with a mahogany neck, back, and sides for a powerful, lively, and rich sound with incredible dynamics and complexity of tone. This guitar sports a short scale length and a wide, chunky neck with a modified V contour for a retro feel that collectors and old-time aficionados are sure to love, and features classic visual appointments, including an "Autumn Sunset" burst finish on top, aged hardware, and ivoroid binding, tuning buttons, and inlays. It's a good thing the CEO-7 isn't better known - if it was, it'd be too hard to get. Included in the price is a Martin deluxe hard-shell case, with a cabernet interior.
