Description

Martin's 000-28EC Eric Clapton Signature has now been a mainstay of their Artist series for so long that we're beginning to see examples that qualify as vintage - like this nicely maintained one from 1997. It ought to come as no surprise, but just like its namesake, this wonderful six-string has only gotten better with age, and features a rich, responsive sound that's opened up extremely well over almost 30 years of play. While there might be little on the 000-28EC's spec sheet that sets it apart from a regular 000-28, hand it to any guitarist and they'll remark immediately on just how much livelier and more powerful this instrument is than its Standard Series cousin, whether strummed with a pick or delicately fingerpicked, both in open position and up the neck. We love it and know you'll love it, too.

A small amount of playing wear distinguishes this guitar from a new one, with a below typical amount of pick marks in the top, a few small scuffs on the back and sides, and some minor finish delamination on the neck, primarily around first position. That being said, none of the wear significantly impacts the guitar's aesthetic appeal or its structural soundness. This instrument's owner had an active undersaddle pickup installed, which we have not been able to definitively identify - this is the only significant aftermarket alteration that appears to have been done. We consider it to be in very good condition. Included in the price is the original hard-shell case.
