Larrivée continue to be the best-kept secret in the acoustic guitar world: we've been thrilled with all the new models we've seen from the company, especially this 000-40R, a 12-fret OM-sized guitar with a big, bassy sound and elegant, simple construction. Combining a Sitka spruce top with an Indian rosewood back and sides, the 000-40R has a clear and powerful tone with highly responsive lows and some great projection that allow it to shine whether strummed with a pick or plucked with just your fingers. We opted for a more minimal a matte finish to allow the tonewoods the proper amount of breathing room, but maple binding and rope purfling help it stand out visually. Included in the price is a Larrivée hard-shell case, manufactured for the company by TKL.
