Kalamazoo KHG-11 (c.1936)

Description

This Kalamazoo guitar started its life as a Hawaiian style slide guitar with a raised nut and saddle designed to be played like a dobro. It has since been converted to Spanish style. It is all original save for a newly cut and positioned compensated bone saddle (on account of the conversion), white side marker dots installed, replacement ebony bridge pins, and the tall bone nut was cut down to standard size. It has had the benefit of a neck reset and setup and plays like a dream. Shockingly, there are no cracks in the wood! The neck is wide and deep as one would expect, but certainly still comfortable to play for most and the sound is deep and rich with plenty of snap on the top end. It is an all around sweetie and a perfect vintage addition to your collection! It comes with a non-original soft shell case.
