Description
The Kala U-Bass is incontrovertible proof that you don't need a big instrument to rumble the floorboards, and in the case of this terrific, lightly used Wanderer (which we sold new earlier this year) Kala's best and silliest instrument has never been more attainable or affordable for cost-conscious musicians. The Wanderer combines an all-laminate body with a round soundhole with steel strings (upgraded to ultra-smooth nickel flatwounds) for a big, fat tone shockingly reminiscent of an upright bass when amplified. With a scale length clocking in just under 21 inches, it's roughly the same size as a baritone ukulele, and even more fun to tool around with. Kala outfit the Wanderer with their UK-500B active undersaddle pickup for a powerful, high-output voice when amplified.
This instrument arrived in our store in mint condition, with no damage or cosmetic wear whatsoever. The set up is excellent, with comfortable action in all positions up and down the neck. Included in the price is the original Kala gig bag.
