Description

The CC-OT has been one of Gold Tone's most popular open-back banjos, as it provides a great upgrade over the more basic CC-50 in terms of a number of features designed specifically for the old-time player. This CC-OTP is very similar to the stock CC-OT all of us here at the Denver Folklore Center were already familiar with, but the "P" denotes that the banjo has been upgraded with a set of planetary tuners. This instrument has a warm, mellow sound thanks to its fiberskin head, and comes with a railroad spike pre-installed on the 7th fret that makes playing fiddle tunes a snap. Included in the price is a Gold Tone gig bag for ease of transport from your home to the stage, lessons or jam session.
