Much like their smash hit, the CC-50, the CC-100+ features an 11" pot, all-maple construction, and a rolled brass tone ring, but it's definitely a step above their beginner's instruments, with a bright and clean sound versatile enough to suit it for old-time music as well as for the beginner bluegrass player. This instrument also features a few nice aesthetic touches like the full gloss finish, the curly maple peghead overlay, and planetary tuners, for a classy look that matches the great sound. The pickup is Gold Tone's new SMP+, a magnetic pickup that mounts on the banjo's coordinator rod and can be moved along the rod to produce a variety of different tones.
