Earl Scruggs is still the first name in the world of three-finger banjo, so it's fitting that this 2005 Gibson Scruggs Standard is the finest resonator banjo we've got in our store. Built to the high standards that players expect from Gibson's resonators, the Earl Scruggs Standard boasts ringing sustain, a bright and articulate tone, and all the volume a bluegrass banjo player could want. With a full gloss finish, flamed maple resonator and neck, and Gibson's "Heart and Flowers" headstock inlay, it's no slouch visually, either. For the serious bluegrass banjo player, there are few instruments finer than the Earl Scruggs Standard.

Apart from one small finish crack in the resonator, there are virtually no signs of playwear on this banjo, and the set-up is ideal for bluegrass. As such, we consider it to be in excellent condition. Included in the price is the original hard shell case.
