Description

We dare anyone who doesn't believe in love at first sight to take a glance at this dazzling little 2021 Gibson 1950s LG-2, a reintroduction of one of the manufacturer's classic designs updated for the modern day. The vintage tobacco-burst finish and the woodsy, lively sound are all classic Gibson, but with the finishing touches and attention to detail that players expect from a new guitar. With a lot of midrange and a surprising amount of punch and power for a smaller bodied instrument, it's a natural fit for folk and blues and excels in fingerstyle applications. In addition to the perfectly shot sunburst, Gibson keep the appointments as authentic as possible, with a rosewood fingerboard, off-white binding, and a tortoise pattern pickguard. The LG-2 also comes stock with an LR Baggs Element active undersaddle pickup system, for an impressively natural sound when plugged in.

This instrument has seen some playing time in its first year, and it has a few minor dents and divots in the top and back, all well within the range of normal wear. There's some minor finish damage on the top of the lower bout and the back of the headstock. The set up is excellent, with no need for fret work in the immediate future, and it plays well in all positions. The electronics work great and are very clear. We consider the guitar to be in very good condition. Included in the price is the original hard-shell case.
