This is a really fun and affordable vintage banjo by Fairbanks & Cole made all the way back in c.1882. The pot is 11-1/2" and is strung with nylon strings which gives it an old time tone suitable for clawhammer playing. All the shoes, nuts, and brackets are original and matching. It appears to have been re-fretted at some point in it's life, and the frets show no visible wear. There are railroad spikes on the 7th and 9th frets, but only accommodate steel strings. This comes with a Superior gig bag.
