Description
Players inspired by the finest years of Gibson's craftsmanship but confined to more workmanlike budgets will be head over heels for this 2025 Epiphone J-45 Banner Reissue, a faithful replica of some of the very finest slope-shoulder dreadnaughts ever built. Just like its namesake, these big-bodied steel strings sport a spruce top in combination with a mahogany neck, back, and sides for a powerful, lively tone with an unbelievable kick in the low mids. Epiphone pull out all the stops in pursuit of a premium playing experience, with scalloped bracing, a torrefied top, and an extra large neck contour just like the originals. It's also hard not to love the vintage-inspired aesthetics, including the guitar's 1942-accurate three-tone sunburst, its vintage-style tuners, and an Epiphone script logotype with the classic Gibson Banner design on the headstock. Lastly, it comes with an L.R. Baggs Element VTC active undersaddle pickup preinstalled for an exceptional amplified sound.
This instrument arrived in our store in excellent condition, with very little in the way of playing wear to differentiate it from a new floor model. There is some light scuffing on the top and the pickguard, visible under oblique lighting, but it does not significantly detract from the instrument's aesthetic appeal and is well within the range of normalcy for wear on an instrument within its first 12 months of play. The set up is excellent and still within factory spec, and there is no visible fret wear. Included in the price is the original hard-shell case.
*Please note, per our return policy, all sales on used and consignment instruments are final.*
