Beginning banjo players now have a new and visually striking option in Deering Banjo Company's Goodtime Deco, a splendidly built open-back five-string with a few cosmetic upgrades that differentiate it from the standard Goodtime. As the name implies, Deering have bolstered this model with some beautiful hardwood fingerboard inlays, an engraved Deco motif on the headstock, and bronze-plated hardware for a visual calling card that immediately calls to mind the Roaring '20s. As with the standard Deering Goodtime, this instrument is made from start to finish in California with a maple neck and pot, and features Deering's immaculately milled, low-profile neck that has made them the biggest banjo manufacturer in the world. While the Goodtime Deco doesn't come with a case, we have a variety of aftermarket options available, which we'd be happy to talk to you about.
