Collings Eastside LC DLX Archtop Guitar (2016)

Description

One of the only Collings archtop guitars we've had in the store in recent memory, this absolutely beautiful Eastside LC Deluxe is a delight to play as well as behold. Built with an all-laminate construction common to most archtop electrics, the Eastside LC features a single cutaway design with double S-holes almost reminiscent of a Rickenbacker. It features an eye-catching deep orange sunburst finish and rhomboid inlays in mother-of-pearl, which no longer come stock on this model. The Deluxe appointments include ivoroid neck and headstock binding, as well as ebony volume and tone knobs. Playability is excellent, with a flawless setup and a comfortable, maneuverable neck - and surprisingly, a short scale length, making those tall jazz chords just a bit easier to land. The single Lollar neck pickup is elegant and very clean, and highs roll off very nicely with the tone knob, not sapping the guitar of any of its presence. The pickup sounds quite nice, with a hint of warm compression, and pairs wonderfully with a spring reverb.

This guitar is in excellent condition with virtually no playwear outside of light scuffing on the pickguard common to virtually all used instruments. It has never required a major repair and has had only one owner. Included in the price is the original Collings hard-shell case, designed and built by Ameritage.
