Description

It's hard to play bluegrass on any guitar smaller than a dreadnaught, but if you had to pick, this OM Generation R from Bourgeois Guitars would fit the bill pretty well. With an impressively bassy, powerful sound, this guitar is one of the few in an OM size with sufficient cutting power and low end to hold its own in a stringband, all while also boasting the amazing craftsmanship and playability that Dana Bourgeois has become known for in his decades-long career as a luthier. A torrefied Sitka spruce top pairs with Indian rosewood on the back and sides for a design roughly based on a Martin OM-21, but the OM Generation R is much more, with plenty of the X-factor that separates a boutique instrument from a mass-produced one. An L.R. Baggs Lyric active pickup system comes pre-installed, ensuring nothing is lost when the guitar is plugged in. Included in the price is a hard-shell case, manufactured for Bourgeois by TKL.
