Flatiron Mandolins are among some of the most prized mandolins available on the used mandolin market. There are very few used Flatirons currently available and when they do come up for sale they aren’t available for long.

Built in 2001, this Flatiron Performer A5 Mandolin was made in Nashville, Tennessee by Gibson and features some beautifully flamed maple on the neck, back, and sides and a perfect ivoroid bound sunburst spruce top. Another notable cosmetic addition is the abalone fleur de lis inlay which shines with very colorful green, pink, blue, and white hues providing for a beautiful contrast to the dark ebony peghead overlay and mother of pearl Flatiron logo.

This mandolin is in excellent condition and only has some slight signs of play in the form of very light scratches around the treble f hole and on the back and some identifiable clouding on the tailpiece. Overall we would simply say this mandolin is in fantastic shape!

Add in the fact that the mandolin includes the original hardshell case and you have yourself one awesome A-style bluegrass mandolin package.
