The Vega Vintage Star is a brand new model from Deering's Vega line, and is one of the finest open-back banjos we've had from Deering in recent years. Geared specifically towards the discerning old-time player, the Vintage Star features a 12-inch violin-grade maple pot and a spectacular Dobson tone ring for added richness, sustain, and a bit more contour to the banjo's natural frequencies. The Vintage Star also features a full frailing scoop and comes stock with a Renaissance head, making it the ideal instrument for a clawhammer player not interested in compromising on sound. Beautiful wood inlays, aged brass hardware and a figured ebony fretboard add cosmetic appeal to make this banjo the complete package. Included in the price is a Vega-Deering hard-shell case.
