Description
Chuck Ogsbury pulled out all the stops on this beautiful Ute 12" Limited Edition and handed us a great sounding and looking instrument perfect for Colorado old-time. This lovely open-back features one of the last of Chuck's flamed maple necks, which he bought from Gibson's Bozeman factory just before the company stopped manufacturing banjos. But whether it's the neck, the pot, or the sum of its parts, the 12" Limited has a thick, warm tone that seems to get harder and harder to find in a production instrument. As a hand-built instrument, this banjo is replete with rustic charm and all the little visual quirks that separate it from something made in a factory - and old-school cosmetic touches like the aged hardware and hardwood armrest make it unique, as well. Included in the price is a ProTour NuHyde deluxe gig bag.
