Description

While Taylor just rolled out their new 512ce a few months ago, the 500 Series has been home to some of Taylor's best models for quite some time now, including this lovely 2018 512ce 12-Fret, a fingerpicker's delight with a warm, mellow tone. In 2018, the 500 Series featured a cedar top and a mahogany back and sides, for a rich sound reminiscent of a fine classical guitar. Those premium tonewoods allow the guitar to really sing up and down the neck, whether played with a pick or with your fingers, and make it an impressively versatile instrument, especially considering its size. Rather than strangle the sound, the 512ce's Grand Concert shape simply makes it comfortable to play, sitting low on the lap and easily under the arm of just about any guitarist, and the cutaway makes playing anywhere on the fingerboard a breeze. This one also features the earlier 500 Series inlay pattern in ivoroid for some added aesthetic appeal.

There is a small amount of dents and general scuffing on the top, back, sides, and neck of the guitar, consistent with a few years of regular playing wear. Nonetheless, the cosmetic wear is far from significant and does not impact the playability or structural integrity of the instrument at all. The set up is low and fits most playing styles. We consider it to be in very good condition. Included in the price is the original Taylor hard-shell case, which has been modified with a few stickers by this guitar's owner.
