Description
We generally stick pretty closely to the script with our dulcimer selection, but this 4FHWSY-G from the good folks at The Dulcimer Shoppe down in Mountain View, Arkansas was simply too cool not to put on our wall. Combining a beautiful spalted sycamore top with a figured walnut back and sides, this mountain flathead has all the authentic Appalachian tone one could want from a lap dulcimer - but its real secret is its beautifully filigreed Galax back - this is an instrument that may have been built in the Ozarks, but left its heart in Blue Ridge country. As with all McSpaddens, this is a finely crafted dulcimer with premium Gotoh closed-gear tuners, a zero fret for improved intonation, and is set up perfectly for new and old players alike. Included in the price is a McSpadden gig bag, along with learning materials and some beginning accessories.
