Description
You really can't talk about Guild without at least mentioning their legendary 70s 12-strings, like this terrific 1975 F-212. With a big, bold sound that's only opened up over decades of play, this classic jumbo guitar has all the richness and punch that made the model a mainstay of classic rock, folk rock, and Nashville-era country. The F-212 features all solid wood construction, with a spruce top and a mahogany back and sides, and features a lively midrange, clear highs, and an uncluttered and precise low register. Cosmetically, Guild kept the F-212 fairly simple, but subtle touches like the jumbo pickguard and formidable headstock inlay still scream 70s.
This F-212 has seen about the typical amount of playing wear for a guitar its age, with a decent amount of pick marks on the top and a fairly ordinary amount of crazing on the top, back, and sides. There is some significant wear on the back, likely from a belt buckle, and some visible wear on the neck. All hardware is original, and there are no cracks anywhere on the guitar or any significant structural damage. We consider it to be in good condition. Included in the price is the original hard-shell case.
