Description

We've carried a number of guitar-bodied octave mandolins in our store for a while now, and love the way the fullness and low end are supported by an oval soundhole. This BZ-1000 from Gold Tone is the first guitar-style bouzouki we've had in our store in recent years, and it's a great choice for a bouzouki player (or mandolinist) who wants something with the added volume and more versatile sonic character afforded by a bigger, deeper instrument. All new instruments we see from Gold Tone are terrific values and built to high quality control standards, and the BZ-1000 is no different, with a solid spruce top and a great set-up to keep this relatively challenging instrument playable for a newcomer. It also comes with a Fishman under-saddle pickup with an onboard preamp pre-installed, meaning it's ready to plug and play from the moment you take it home (or from the moment you take it to the show, if you like to live life on the edge). Finally, the BZ-1000 comes with a very protective Gold Tone hard shell case to make sure this fine instrument stays protected no matter where it goes.
