Description
Gold Tone's BG-150F is one of the mainstays in our resonator lineup, and for good reason - it's one of the best-sounding and most authentic bluegrass banjos you can find out there under the four figure mark. With that in mind, taking in this lightly used one from 2024 was a no-brainer, and will make one heck of a deal for the budding three-finger expert who eventually leaves our shop with it in hand. The BG-150F combines a maple neck and pot with a rolled brass tone ring for a twangy and immediate tone that leaps right off the fingerboard. Gold Tone bolster this already formidable combination with a mahogany resonator and a one-piece flat flange for an added pop that steps to the forefront of a bluegrass stringband with the slightest push from your right hand. The package is completed visually by way of a full gloss vintage brown finish, and a classic hearts and flowers inlay pattern for a look that carefully pays homage to some of the most famous resonator banjos ever built.
This instrument arrived in our store in excellent condition and is still set up within factory specifications. The only obvious cosmetic wear is restricted to scuffing on the armrest, most likely from a steel watchband. Some very minor scuffing is also visible on the back of the resonator. Included in the price is a Gold Tone hard-shell case, which was not original with the instrument, but represents a significant upgrade over the gig bag usually included with the BG-150F when sold new.
*Please note, per our return policy, all sales on used and consignment instruments are final.*
