As the name suggests, this trim level features a one-and-three-sixteenths nut width for a far more accommodating feeling in the left hand, with a thicker and deeper neck to boot, emulating the ergonomics of a vintage F-style rather than a modern build. Eastman also upgrade the MD-515TV Wide Neck with their ultra-thin Truetone Vintage finish, for a paint job that looks and feels far closer to a nitro or even a varnish finish than it does to a conventional poly. Eastman likewise add a classic, rich sunburst finish to the top, in line with the aesthetics of classic Gibson bursts from the golden age of bluegrass.
