Description

While Deering's Goodtime line is aimed primarily at newer players looking for an affordable and lightweight instrument, the Deering Goodtime Special begins to move into different territory, with a richer, louder, and punchier tone that sets it apart from other offerings in its price range and cements it as one of the best gigging instruments for the developing bluegrass picker. Like its cousin, the Goodtime Two, the Goodtime Special features a laminate resonator and a two-piece flange for a powerful sound, but also features the Deering Special tone ring for clearer mids, a fuller sustain, and a more three-dimensional tone. As with the other models in the Goodtime line, the Goodtime Special features all-maple construction, a matte finish, bronze-sprayed hardware, and is made in the USA. Any Scruggs-style player interested in taking the next step would be remiss not to run a few tunes by the Special and find out why it's become one of Deering's most popular models.
