Classical (nylon-stringed) guitars traditionally have a flat fingerboard that is two inches wide at the nut. For steel-stringed acoustic guitar players used to thinner and narrower necks the transition to a classical guitar can be challenging. Cordoba has introduced several models that are a cross between acoustics and classicals. The C9 Crossover is one such instrument, featuring a thinner profile neck, radiused fingerboard and 1 7/8 inch nut. The top on this guitar is Canadian Cedar and the back and sides are solid Mahogany. Fan bracing (insert link to our article on bracing) allows the top considerable flexibility which produces more volume and a richer sound. The mother of pearl weave rosette is an ode to classical builders of the early 20th Century and the gloss finish adds the final touch of elegance to this special guitar. Also included is a Cordoba Polyfoam Hardshell case.
