Description
While Bourgeois is perhaps best known for their high-end bluegrass guitars, the company's recent forays into the world of mandolin luthiery have produced some absolutely fabulous instruments - strum a few chords on this M5A-SB and you'll immediately see what we mean. With a bright, full, bell-like timbre practically glowing with rich overtones, the M5A provides a professional-level tone at a price that undercuts most other high-end major manufacturers. A torrefied top, back, and sides adds punch and clarity to the instrument and lends it a bit more headroom when you dig in with your right hand. Bourgeois complete the package visually with a very dark wine bottle sunburst finish, which pairs nicely with the ivoroid binding and tuning buttons for a mandolin that looks just as good as it sounds. Included in the price is a Bourgeois hard-shell case.
