The Weber Gallatin is no longer made in an A-style shape, which makes this 2013 example all the more sought-after by players who lean towards Celtic and old-time music and don't need the extra flash of an F-style. This instrument, very lightly used by the previous owner, shows almost no signs of playwear, with only the slightest pick marking on top. That means it's also retained a lot of the tightness and crispness of a new mandolin, and hasn't really begun to open up into the louder, clearer sound that a high-end mandolin eventually will. Appointments are fairly minimal and tasteful, with a dark wood stain on the top, back, and sides, a very light matte finish, and a series of diamond inlays in mother-of-pearl on the fretboard. All said, this Gallatin is an excellent example of a great mandolin no longer in production, and one that we're thrilled to have in our store. Comes with the original hard shell case.
