With an Adirondack spruce top and an eastern flamed maple neck, back, and sides, this outstanding A-style is one of the best and brightest eight-strings we've had in our store in some time, with a crisp tone to match its platinum features. As always, the MT2 features a full gloss lacquer finish and extensive grained ivoroid binding on the body, headstock, and fingerboard, which pairs nicely with ebony overlays and beautiful inlay work on the headstock in both abalone and mother-of-pearl. Ultra-accurate nickel Gotoh tuners with ivoroid buttons match a Collings cast tailpiece, too. But while this MT2 is undoubtedly easy on the eyes, you'll be spellbound above all by its larger-than-life sound, which would make a perfect fit in an Americana band or for tearing out old-time fiddle tunes.
