Description
This Yellowstone F mandolin hails from the iconic Logan Montana shop where Bruce Weber was creating some of his best instruments. It has a nice dark red sunburst full gloss finish with ivoroid binding on the top, back, neck, and headstock and a beautiful Celtic knot inlaid with mother of pearl in the headstock overlay. The sound is clear and articulate with a plenty of attack and volume to fit right into a bluegrass pick. It shows some play-wear throughout the instrument-most notably a ding in the finish just above the bass side F hole on top. There is also some light pick wear on the treble side of the top, and some slight buckle rash on the back, all of which is superficial and not structural. The original hard shell case is missing two large patches of the grey tolex, but is structurally sound.
