Description
While a chambered body electric guitar may not be our usual fare at the Folklore Center, this 2025 Taylor T5z was simply in too good of shape for us to turn away. Designed as a crossover axe capable of both totally clean acoustic tones as well as funky, crunchy electric leads, the T5z is an impressively versatile tool for the player who does a bit of everything during their set. The innovative pickup array includes a stacked humbucker in a lipstick-style cover near the bridge, an acoustic body sensor similar in tone to a piezo transducer, and another humbucker at the neck, hidden underneath the fingerboard extension, all controlled via a five-way switch that isolates either of the humbuckers, or innovative combinations of the three pickups, including options routing both humbuckers either in parallel or in series for tones that remain tight and powerful even when stacked with gain. The pickup array is housed in a high quality lightweight body with a solid mahogany top and multi-piece sapele back for a direct tone full of midrange to color the acoustic body sensor's character.
This instrument arrived in our store in mint condition, with no playing wear or damage to differentiate it from a brand new floor model. It has seen a total of less than ten hours of playing time and should essentially be considered a new instrument. The set up and action are consistent with factory spec and ready to go for this guitar's next owner. Included in the price is a Taylor gig bag.
*Please note, per our return policy, all sales on used and consignment instruments are final.*
