Description
As the company's most popular spruce and rosewood acoustic/electric, the Taylor 414ce has always been a guitar ready to handle heavy lifting both onstage and in the studio - but with the slate of upgrades added as part of the Next Generation refresh to Taylor's most popular US-made models, it's now more accommodating, better sounding, and more ready to meet the needs of professional musicians than ever before. As always, the 414ce features a solid spruce top in combination with a neo-tropical mahogany neck and an Indian rosewood back and sides, crafted in the manufacturer's proprietary ultra-comfortable Grand Auditorium shape. But these instruments now come with scalloped V-class bracing out of the box, for even more low end and a longer and fuller sustain, and Taylor's innovative action-control neck joint allows easy adjustment of the neck angle without having to perform a time consuming neck reset. Onstage, the 414ce responds better than ever before by way of the company's new Claria active undersaddle pickup system, which provides an incredibly broad variety of tones when amplified. This is a fantastic next step in the world of modern, player-forward acoustic guitars, and is sure to win Taylor plenty of new adherents. Included in the price is a Taylor hard-shell case.
