Description
Given how our friends over at Taylor Guitars have historically excelled at getting pint-sized instruments to sound just like the real deal, a three-quarter scale acoustic bass was practically a no-brainer for their production line. Enter the GS Mini-e Bass, which shares a scale length and body size with their immensely popular GS Mini line, but is tuned just like a full-scale bass guitar, with all the warm, responsive, and rich lows that four-string specialists love. This lightly used 2025 model features a solid Sitka spruce top with a layered mahogany back and sides, adding projection and crisp upper harmonics to the instrument to help it cut through when played unplugged - but when a pure acoustic sound isn't enough, Taylor answer the bell with their patented ES-B active pickup system for a high-output signal that will easily fill out the low frequencies onstage or in-studio. The instrument is finished in a matte, open-pore nitrocellulose, allowing the natural figuring in the tonewoods to shine through.
This instrument arrived in our store in excellent condition, with next to no playing wear whatsoever. The set up is very good and still well within factory specifications, and action is low and comfortable, with D'Addario's short-scale acoustic bass strings developed in tandem with Taylor specifically for this instrument. Included in the price is the original soft-shell case.
*Please note, per our return policy, all sales on used and consignment instruments are final.*
