Description
The Academy 12e has remained one of Taylor's most enduringly popular guitars for good reason - these small-but-mighty six-strings provide a great entry point to the manufacturer's lineup specifically suited to new players who don't want to compromise on quality. A solid Sitka spruce top fit over Taylor's ultra-comfortable Grand Concert shape gives this instrument a bright, clear, and projecting tone, and sturdy X-bracing adds a surprising amount of volume to boot. Taylor outfit all their Academy series guitars with a beveled armrest for an extra ergonomic playing experience, and a matte finish for an elegant and understated visual calling card. They've even installed their patented ES-B pickup system under the saddle for a true-to-life tone when plugged into an amplifier. This is one of the best all-purpose options for newer players, and makes for an excellent first "serious" guitar. Included in the price is a Taylor canvas gig bag.
