Description
Every guitar from Taylor Builder's Edition is a special one that showcases the best of what their El Cajon factory has to offer. But with that in mind, their 717 sets a new high-water mark for the Builder's Edition line, effortlessly combining Taylor's innovative engineering with the meaty and powerful sound of their Grand Pacific body shape. The Sitka spruce top has been torrefied so as to get the guitar as open as possible, and is complimented by the naturally bell-like sound of the Indian rosewood back and sides. Nice appointments like the sapele binding and the hardwood rosette add a little elegance, but the most eye-catching part is undoubtedly the Wild Honey Burst finish - a rich sepia stain on the top that adds to the guitar's vintage vibe. The 717 comes with a deluxe Western Floral hard-shell case.
