Another stunner from Taylor Guitars! All of Taylor's Limited Edition instruments are highly unique and sometimes deviate in significant ways from the stock models - meaning it's a real shame that we rarely get more than one of each given model. This 714ce-LTD definitely fits the bill, with very unique cosmetic appointments and some truly lovely sassafras on the back and sides, rather than the Indian rosewood one generally sees in Taylor's 700 series. The sound is bright yet balanced, and thicker in the midrange than one typically hears on a Taylor, making this guitar a perfect complement to the collection of a guitarist who already has one or more nice Taylors. This guitar comes with Taylor's patented Expression II pickup system, designed to carefully reproduce its acoustic sound profile when amplified, and included in the price is a Taylor hard-shell case.
