Description

Our friends over at Taylor excel at a lot of things, but for our money, their 12-string guitars are probably the very best currently in production today from any manufacturer. This 454ce simply seems to check all the boxes one might want out of these instruments - shimmering trebles and crisp highs, a comfortable neck with low action, and a seemingly endless reserve of volume. Taylor use a solid Sitka spruce top in combination with a solid Indian rosewood back and sides for a rich, bell-like sound that naturally accentuates the voice of the 12-string when used to fill out the highs in a mix, and the company's patented V-class bracing helps to ensure it loses none of its vitality or sustain when you're playing wide, jangly voicings up the neck. ("Pinball Wizard", anyone?) The 454ce ships stock with an Expression 2 active undersaddle pickup system for a true-to-life sound when amplified, and comes with a Taylor hard-shell case.
