Description
Players the world over have fallen in love with Taylor's wildly popular 200 Series, which combines sleek ergonomics and the classic Taylor tone with the savings that the company's Tecate-manufactured instruments provide. All that's still true in the case of the 212ce, a more compact version of its larger siblings, but one that still boasts a surprisingly powerful and direct sound. The 212ce combines a solid Sitka spruce top with a mahogany neck and walnut laminates forged into Taylor's Grand Concert body shape, which sits low on the lap and easily under the right forearm - but a deep body and X-bracing on the underside of the top give this guitar a punchy and full-throated tone well beyond what we might expect from a short-scale, mid-sized instrument. Taylor also bolster this already-great guitar with a Venetian cutaway for easy access to the upper frets, as well as their world-famous Expression 2 active pickup system, for a true-to-life tone when plugged in. Included in the price is a Taylor soft-shell case.
