Description
Martin add another tonal flavor to their highly popular X Series with the addition of the GPC-X2E Ziricote, an all-around workhorse that makes just as good an option for the gigging musician as it does the committed beginner. Featuring a solid sapele top with a ziricote pattern on the back and sides for some added visual flair, this new offering in the line has a warmer and more mellow sound than its spruce-topped siblings, and would make an excellent tool for contemporary singer-songwriters. The GPC takes inspiration from more modern designs for a large, full sound with a rich sustain while still remaining ergonomic and comfortable, and sports a Venetian cutaway for easy access to the upper frets. Martin have also installed their proprietary E1 active pickup system, for an incredibly balanced tone when plugged in and an onboard tuner at the bottom of the soundhole. Included in the price is a Martin soft-shell case.
