Description

The Martin D-28 is about as much of a known quantity as any guitar out there, having been in production for nearly 100 years. But while nobody is going to pick up this instrument expecting the unexpected, this 2010 edition of America's favorite guitar features all the things players have known and loved about the model since its inception. The tight-grained Sitka spruce top and deep dreadnaught body feature all the volume and power familiar to this guitar, and the impeccable cuts of Indian rosewood on the back and sides lend it its characteristic thunderous bass and extraordinarily present overtones. It's one of the loudest guitars we have in our store, with all the power and cut to hang in a bluegrass stringband or an acoustic rock band - or really anything else you might desire.

This guitar shows almost no signs of playing wear - impressive for an 11-year-old instrument. It has much of the brightness and tightness of a new guitar, but has definitely opened up a bit over its life so far. We consider it to be in excellent condition. Included in the price is the original Martin hard-shell case.
